22. (1) It shall be unlawful to keep or sell any poison unless the container is distinctly labelled with the name of the substance and the word “poison”.
(2) It shall be unlawful to sell a poison to any person unknown to the seller, unless the identity of such person is established by someone known to the seller.
(3) At the time of every sale of a poison, the seller shall, before delivery, make or cause to be made, in a register to be kept for that purpose, an entry stating in accordance with Form 1 the date of the sale, the name and address of the purchaser, the name and the quantity of the poison sold and the purpose for which the purchaser stated it to be required.The signature of the purchaser, and, if any person identifies the purchaser, the signature of such person, shall be affixed to such entry.
The register specified in this subsection shall be called the “Poison Sales Register”, and shall be open at all times to inspection by the secretary of the Order.
(4) Nothing in this section shall apply to the compounding or dispensing of physicians’, dentists’, or veterinary surgeons’ prescriptions containing poison.
